Max Raabe & Palast Orchester have made this dream of theirs come true musically with their new 2025 concert programme. Max Raabe loves animals. In his song “Hummel” (Bumblebee), he dreams himself into their world, wants to put biscuits into the pouches of kangaroos or fell trees with beavers. But his thoughts also revolve around the consequences of the autocorrect function (“Nochmal von vorn” – Starting again from scratch), cycling or, as everyone will know, what it’s like to miss the perfect moment. In “Hummeln streicheln” (Stroking a bumblebee), Max Raabe & Palast Orchester have tremendous fun combining popular “Raabe pop” hits with timeless original tunes from the 1920s and 1930s such as “Heute Nacht oder nie” (Tonight or never) or “Wenn die Elisabeth” (When Elisabeth).
While Max Raabe compères the evening in his customary zany, humorous way, the like-minded audience can lean back and switch off.
