Without a doubt, Alte Bekannte are one of the most unusual phenomena currently on the concert stage. The quintet performs its German-language a cappella songs with unrivalled authenticity, creating EVERY SINGLE SOUND with the human voice including the rhythm section. Following their successful beginning in 2018, Alte Bekannte are also continuing a long-established tradition as the legitimate successors of the dissolved Wise Guys, since Daniel “Dän” Dickopf and Björn Sterzenbach are two of the original Wise Guys singers and, at the same time, founding members of Alte Bekannte.
For Alte Bekannte, the stage can be described as their “natural habitat“, a place where the musicians feel particularly at home. This feeling is automatically passed on to the audience as concerts by the band are an experience for all the senses. The singers deliver a highly charged show that goes far beyond mere listening for the audience. Every appearance becomes a shared experience. The band’s fifth studio album is due to be released in time for the start of the new live show in early 2025.
